The Vern hat pays homage to my great-grandfather. It was inspired by a photo we have of him standing out in the East Desert, holding a couple of horses.

It really just looks like a hat that would have been worn in the 1950s. It looks like it has spent a lot of time outdoors, with the fading and distressing added to it. It is accented with a skirting leather band with heavy oil and antique brass dots.

The Vern is just a timeless, rugged piece.
