A Burns hat is shaped by hand and built to last a lifetime. A little routine care keeps its crease crisp, its felt clean, and its shape true.
PROPER HAT STORAGE
When you are not wearing your hat, store it upside down on its crown, or right side up on a proper hat stand. Avoid leaving your hat in any place apt to get hot.
KEEP IT CLEAN
Your hat should be brushed and cleaned on a regular basis. Burns recommends starting on the top of your brim and brushing counter clockwise. Brush the crown in the same direction. On the underside of the brim, brush clockwise.
DO NOT HANDLE YOUR HAT BY THE CREASE
When removing or replacing your hat, always handle it by the front and back of the brim just next to the crown. Do not pick up your hat by the crease because it will become misshapen.
